You have questions and the Hill Country Craft Beer Festival has answers. Each year we receive a lot of different questions about a lot of different things. In response, we put together the following frequently asked questions in attempt to help answer those questions in advance.
Is the Hill Country Craft Beer Festival an all ages event?
No. The Hill Country Craft Beer Festival is a 21+ only event and under no circumstances are any persons under the age of 21 permitted inside the festival grounds. All guests must be able to show a valid I.D.
Is it true that the Hill Country Craft Beer Festival a cashless event?
Yes. Upon entry, each guest will receive a convenient RFID wristband that can be connected to a credit or debit card. Our unique event oriented point-of-sale system manages all beer, wine, food, non alcoholic beverage, and merchandise sales using your RFID wristband, debit, or credit card — eliminating the need for cash.
are animals allowed IN the hill country craft beer festival?
No. Only registered and trained service or assistance dogs are allowed inside the festival. As of September 1, 2023, House Bill 4164 defines a service animal as a "canine that is specially trained or equipped to help a person with a disability." Emotional support animals are not considered service or assistance animals and will not be allowed.

No, parking at the Hill Country Craft Beer Festival is free.
VIP: Located on the Wursfest grounds with private entrance. Enter at Gate B off Landa Park Drive.
GENERAL ADMISSION: Located across Landa Street from the main entrance at Gate A.
VOLUNTEER: Located in the Elizabeth Street parking lot near Gate C.

where do the proceeds from the hill country craft beer festival go?
We are excited that this year, proceeds from the Hill Country Craft Beer Festival will go to the New Braunfels Youth Collaborative. To learn more about the NBYC, click here.
Can i bring a lawn chair into the festival?
Yes. Folding lawn chairs may be brought into the festival but may not be set up in the main tasting area. Picnic tables will be available to sit at in front of the stage and other locations around the festival grounds. Chairs in carry bags are subject to search.
can i bring my own food and beverages into the festival?
No. Outside food and beverages may not be brought into the festival, including water. Food, bottled water, and non alcoholic beverages will be available for sale during the event.
are firearms and knives allowed inside the hill country craft beer festival?
No. Absolutely no weapons are allowed inside the festival grounds. All bags and persons are subject to search and metal detector wanding upon entry. Anyone found with a weapon will be asked to return it to their vehicle and will only be admitted after doing so.
do you have a clear bag policy?
No. But, all bags are subject to search upon entry and any items not allowed inside will need to be thrown away or returned to your vehicle in order to be admitted into the festival.
what are the hill country craft beer festival's hours?
VIP entry is at 2:00 PM. General admission entry is at 2:30 PM. The festival ends at 8:00 PM.
is smoking allowed at the hill country craft beer festival?
No. The HCCBF is a smoke free event and smoking and vaping anything is not allowed on the festival grounds.
Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed inside the festival grounds for any reason. Failure to comply will result in expulsion from the festival.
- Illegal and illicit substances of any kind
- Drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Aerosol containers – including sunscreen and personal beauty products
- Firearms, explosives, or weapons of any kind – including pepper spray, fireworks, etc.
- Outside food or beverage – including alcohol
- Balls, frisbees, or flying disks
- Drones or any other remote flying device
- Coolers of any type
- Glass or glass containers
- Pets – except registered service dogs
- Anyone under the age of 21 – including children of any age
- Bad attitudes
